Tutorial Steps:
Step 41
The
shoulders are made from pot-sticker shaped pillows, buns and boobs
from round or oval pillows. Sew them shiny side out, leaving 1/4"
seam allowance.

Step 42
Side
view of anatomy in place. Stitch pillows directly to torso skin.
Shoulders are stitched on with the straight edge outward, the curve
toward the neck.

Step 43
Closeup shows how seam allowance of pillow is stitched to
torso.

Step 44
Ready to put the final layer on! (Note I added a puff of
fabric-covered batting at the top of this neck when I realized that
the neck was still too slim to fit snuggly in the head's neck
hole.)

Step 45
For
the final layer- the permanent bodystocking- choose a stretchy
fabric. I like stretch panne velour because the fuzz tends to
disguise imperfections. You could use a flesh-toned fabric to match
your doll's head, but I prefer to choose a fabric that matches the
most predominant color in my doll's wardrobe. The bodystocking then
acts as a psuedo turtleneck and tights over which I can add various
skirts, dresses or pants.

Step 46
Your
bodystocking will be made of three parts: neck, top, and pants. On
doubled fabric, right sides together, trace around the upper body
of your figure leaving 1/2 to 1 inch margin all the way around. Do
the same with the lower body. The arrow drawn on the fabric in the
photo shows the direction of stretch. Follow photos for layout of
top and pants to best take advantage of stretch. (Experienced
stitchers may go ahead and use or draft their own patterns for snug
fitting shirt and leggings.) Make your margin even wider around the
torso area of the shirt( as in previous picture). Pin as shown. Cut
along lines. Machine-stitch, leaving 1/8" seam allowance. Obviously
leave neck, sleeves, waist, etc. open! Turn right side
out.

Step 47
Sew
a little "neck-sock" which is long enough to reach the base of the
neck. Test if the thickness of the neck is right for your doll
head's neck hole. It should be a tight fit, going just into the
hole, but not sliding past the eyes on the inside.

Step 48
Turn
the "sock" right side out, pull it over the neck tightly, and sew
in place , directly onto the "skin". Use thread which matches the
bodystocking fabric.

Step 49
After sewing the shirt, turn it right side out. Slit it up the
back with scissors.

Step 50
Put
the shirt on the figure with the slit going down the
back.
